Fleet Europe appoints Cox Automotive’s Philip Nothard

Cox Automotive insight director and chairman of the UK’s Vehicle Remarketing Association (VRA) Philip Nothard has been appointed to Fleet Europe’s Remarketing Advisory Board.

In this role, he will advance Fleet Europe’s mission to drive the international development of remarketing in Europe while identifying emerging opportunities in the sector.

Nothard’s appointment follows a new memorandum of understanding between the VRA and its European counterpart, Car Remarketing Association Europe CARA. This agreement aims to foster knowledge-sharing, best practices, and joint advocacy on key remarketing sector issues.

Steven Schoefs, head of strategic relations at Nexus Communications, which publishes Fleet Europe, said: “Vehicle remarketing has become a key strategic pillar for the automotive and fleet sector, as well as for our media platform Fleet Europe. The Advisory Board helps us foster a strong remarketing community, while detecting emerging trends and creating helpful remarketing content for the industry.

“We’re delighted to have Philip on board and look forward to working closely with him in the lead up to, and during our 12th annual Remarketing Summit taking place in Luxembourg on 22nd October.”

Johan Verbois, remarketing programme lead for Fleet Europe added: “Philip’s wealth of experience and insights will be an enormous asset for the board. His vast knowledge will bring a lot to the table, and having a direct voice from the VRA will further strengthen discussions and initiatives.”
