Fix Auto UK has increased its portfolio of wholly owned repair centres after buying the former AD Williams sites in Southampton and Lydd from the appointed administrators.
The move has safeguarded 24 jobs.
The two sites will now operate as Fix Auto Southampton and Fix Auto Lydd and increases the number of repair centres wholly owned by Fix Auto UK to 13.
Collectively, the new sites measure 27,000 sqft of bodyshop space and complement the 10 well-established Fix Auto UK centres along the south coast, from Fix Auto Hastings all the way down to Fix Auto Penzance.
Fix Auto Southampton will continue to be managed by Rob Dace while Andy Ramsey, who manages Fix Auto Crawley, will oversee the day-to-day running of Fix Auto Lydd until a full-time appointment is made.
Fix Auto UK’s portfolio of wholly and part-owned repair centres is managed by group commercial director Earle Avann.
Ian Pugh, group managing director for the Advantage Group of Companies, said:
“Fix Auto UK is already a well-established repairer along the south coast, these acquisitions further strengthen an area with his vital to us. I am delighted that we were able to move so swiftly and safeguard both businesses.”
