ProXL has launched FleXigrit GLIDE, an advanced abrasive disc with cutting-edge abrasive components, reducing compounding and buffing time by up to 75%. Through advanced 3D micro-structure technology, its surface area wears evenly, exposing fresh, uniform material across the pad as wear occurs, providing consistent cutting performance throughout its lifespan.

FleXigrit GLIDE is designed to save time and money; the structural foam-backed finishing disc, with a unique 3D micro-structure, rapidly refines the paint surface prior to compounding and polishing. The new abrasive discs empower technicians to significantly reduce compounding and buffing time, boosting productivity, while its longevity also cuts costs for busy bodyshops.

Technicians work through P1200 to P2000 abrasive discs, before refining the surface using the new FleXigrit P3000 abrasive disc; using water to reduce heat, and helping to minimise wear while controlling dust. Removing any scratches with the new FleXigrit P5000 disc reduces workload in the subsequent stages, resulting in a detailed and accurate finish.

Charlie Bruce, technical & NPD at ProXL, said:

“New ProXL FleXigrit GLIDE is a step forward in the world of abrasive discs. Not only will body shop technicians save time and money, but they will also be equipped with the advanced technology they need to deliver a consistent finish, with superior results.”

The new ProXL FleXigrit GLIDE abrasive discs are available in 150mm size and with P3000 and P5000 grit levels.
