Cromax unveils new PS1420 UV High Productive Primer-Surfacer
Cromax, the refinish coatings brand from Axalta, has launched PS1420 UV High Productive Primer-Surfacer, a new 1K primer-surfacer designed to improve bodyshop productivity, profitability and sustainability.
The primer-surfacer utilises next-generation 1K technology to offer refinishers some impressive benefits across a wide range of applications. Not only does it boast a fast drying and curing process without the need for baking, but also it is easy-to-use and offers optimised corrosion resistance.
PS1420 UV High Productive Primer-Surfacer
PS1420 UV High Productive Primer-Surfacer also underscores Axalta’s commitment to the environment by eliminating CMR (carcinogenic, mutagenic and reprotoxic) chemicals and reducing waste drastically.
Jason Hopkins, United Kingdom and Ireland country manager at Axalta/U-POL, said:
“This new product focuses squarely on highly-productive repairs making it the ideal choice for spot repairs. We’ve specifically developed it so that busy bodyshops can successfully and easily diversify into smaller cosmetic repairs. Minor repairs become more lucrative by increasing throughput and, because PS1420 UV High Productive Primer-Surfacer does not need to be baked like other conventional systems, there are energy saving benefits too.”
The new primer-surfacer is currently available in one-litre cans. Cromax recommends curing with the IRT UV SmartCure UV-LED lamp by Hedson, or any lamps with comparable specifications.
