UK’s most popular cars unveiled
New data has revealed the fastest selling and most popular used cars in the first four months of the year.
According to online car selling platform Cinch, the Ford Grand C-Max was the model that sold quickest through its platform, while Ford models also took the top two spots in the most popular cars between January and April.
The Grand C-Max was followed by the Polestar 2 and Curpra Formentor, with the Peugeot 5008, Tesla Model Y and Honda e next on the list.
Sam Sheehan, motoring editor at cinch, said:
“To find out which models are the most in demand, we reviewed how quickly each model of car was sold on our website and app between 1 January and 30 April 2024. The family-favourite Grand C-Max took top spot, but perhaps the most interesting trend we’re seeing is in the growing popularity of sought-after electric vehicles, such as the Polestar 2 and Honda e.”
Meanwhile, the Ford Fiesta was the country’s best-selling model, ahead of the Ford Focus. The full top 10 list is:

Sheehan said: “The list is a reminder that many buyers still plump for a familiar favourite, despite the growing popularity of newer entrants to the market – particularly in the world of EVs.”
