Steer Automotive Group has opened its second dedicated electric vehicle repair facility, strategically situated just off junction 14 of the M1. Steer Electric Milton Keynes expands the group’s specialist EV capacity to meet increasing demand within the current and future UK vehicle parc.

The Milton Keynes opening follows the launch of Steer Electric in July and the opening of Steer Electric Eastleigh.

The 14,000-sqft facility is designed to accommodate the latest advancements in EV technology, offering comprehensive aluminium structural repair capabilities. It is specifically equipped with state-of-the-art high voltage technology tooling to manage both current and next-generation electric vehicles.

Steer’s team of technicians have undergone extensive training, specialising in EV systems and safety protocols. This expertise ensures every repair is carried out with precision, giving EV owners peace of mind that their vehicles are being repaired by a dedicated team focusing permanently on EV powertrains.

In line with the group’s commitment to sustainability, the facility incorporates eco-friendly practices to reduce its overall environmental impact. The design focuses on efficiency and reflects the group’s broader mission to promote sustainable automotive solutions, with a dedicated investment ensuring the future vehicle charging capacity requirements are catered for and factored in within the facility planning.

Customer and employee comfort

Steer Electric Milton Keynes also offers a modern business lounge and working area, providing customers with a comfortable space to relax or remain productive during their visit. The facility also prioritises employee comfort with a staff lounge and breakout area designed to support relaxation and well-being during breaks. In support of Steer’s cycle-to-work scheme, the site also features covered bicycle rack storage to encourage sustainable commuting options for staff.
