Steer acquires Gemini ARC to expand its UK-wide footprint

Steer Automotive Group has announced the acquisition of Gemini Accident Repair Centres. The purchase includes all 38 bodyshops in the Gemini ARC group, expanding Steer’s growing footprint from Edinburgh to Cornwall.

Founded in 2008 by Tim Hopkins, Gemini has grown from a single-site operation to a semi-national network renowned for its strong customer relationships, innovative training and apprentice programmes, and sustainable initiatives. The acquisition will further enhance Steer’s mutual client relationships and performance, developing and improving client experience delivery across the UK.

Gemini’s managing director Dave Sargeant and finance director Phil Coleman will remain with the business and will join the Steer Leadership Team, which will help to ensure a smooth transition and continuity of service. Both Sargeant and Coleman will continue to play crucial roles within Gemini, while bringing their expertise and commitment to the larger group.
