Solus Accident Repair Centres, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Aviva, is due to open three new vehicle damage repair centres across the UK.
The bodyshops will be opened in Sheffield, Sunderland and Exeter and will complement the existing network of 21 Solus repair centres locations across the UK.
In addition, Solus will be moving from its existing Luton site into a new centre in Dunstable.
Solus ARC to add 3 new repair centres
The repair centres will open throughout the remainder of this year and will create around 90 jobs, ranging from vehicle technicians and consultants to customer care roles.
The company said in a statement that “the opening of these vehicle repair centres is a continuation of Aviva’s strategy to support its motor insurance customers by increasing the number of motor claims managed from start to finish”.
Solus repairs and manages more than a third of Aviva’s overall motor damage claims.
Simon Smith, managing director at Solus, said:
“Earlier in the year, we outlined our growth plans to expand the number of Solus sites, complemented by our network of approved repairers across the UK. Together we can continue delivering great outcomes for our customers, helping them to get back behind the wheel as quickly and as safely as possible.”
Once opened, there will be 24 Solus sites across the UK, with other recent new additions including Newport in Wales. All the new properties will have the latest vehicle technology and be fitted with solar panels.
