This year’s Bodyshop Awards jury will be composed of 10 industry experts from a broad range of repair sector specialisms. They will convene on Thursday, 18 July at the Eyebox Training and Conference Centre in Coventry.
Our 2024 Bodyshop Awards jury members are:
- Ian Dalgarno | 3M
- Michael Golding | LV=
- Angela Henry | Fix Auto Stoke
- Jason Hopkins | Axalta
- Andrew Marsh | Independent engineer
- Michael Massey | FMG Repair Services
- Chris McKie | Vizion Network
- Ruth Moring-Beale | Morelli Group
- Dave Sargeant | Gemini ARC (Powered by Steer)
- Tony Young | ITAS
On “jury day”, the independent panellists will each get one vote in all of the non-technical categories, including Small, Medium and Large Bodyshop of the Year, Group Bodyshop, Technology and Innovation, Work Provider, Technical Training Provider, Supply Chain Partner, Vehicle Manufacturer, Environmental Trailblazer, and Bodyshop Manager of the Year.
If there is any competition conflict between an individual jury member and an award entry or award category, that juror will be asked to leave the room and will not take part in the debate-and-voting phase for that particular category.
Bodyshop Awards jury
The jury meeting team from Bodyshop Magazine – Simon Wait, Louise Cooke and Emily Miles – will be on hand to count the votes and provide Awards insights to the jury as required, but to keep the competition uniquely independent the Bodyshop team will have no voting rights.
Judging for the technical awards – the Powered by Vizion Bodyshop Remit Panel and Paint Apprentices and Technicians; the Powered by IAEA Bodyshop Thatcham VDA of the Year; and the Powered by asTech Bodyshop Thatcham Advanced Technologies Technician of the Year – is conducted separately over a series of practical assessments held at Remit Training and Thatcham Research.
All finalists in all categories will attend the Bodyshop Awards & Expo 2024 on Thursday, 19 September at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole, where the winners will be unveiled live on stage, together with this year’s 30 Under 30: Rising Stars.
Bodyshop Magazine editor Simon Wait, commenting on the 2024 Bodyshop Awards jury, said:
“I am really excited to be getting together at Eyebox with such an informed group of industry experts, and my sincere thanks go out to the generous people at Morelli Group for opening up their training centre for our jury meeting.
“This year’s Bodyshop Awards & Expo is already shaping up to be one of our best ever. Our event continues to be the highlight of the UK accident repair calendar, featuring the industry’s only independent awards programme and, at 28 years, its oldest. Good luck to all of our Awards entries this year – I know you are in safe hands with these jurors.”
