Copart CEO celebrated at Great Women Top 100 awards
Copart UK and Ireland CEO Jane Pocock has been celebrated at the 2024 Autocar Great Women Top 100, an annual event which celebrates the most influential women in the British car.
She was a finalist in the Executive Category, which recognises women who hold senior leadership roles within large businesses and are responsible for their direction and success.
Pocock joined Copart in 2019 and has full responsibility for all areas of the UK business, which employs around 1,700 people across 27 locations. This includes quality of service, development and growth.
Under her leadership, the company has enjoyed continued success and expansion, achieved the ‘Super Six’ of ISO accreditations, and also achieved Carbon Literacy Gold Accreditation less than a year after securing silver.
She has also initiated the ‘land and expand’ strategy which combines a programme of land acquisition with continuous improvement at existing sites, and after acquiring new operation centres in Corby, East Kilbride, Gloucester and St Helens, Copart’s land bank is now in excess of 1,000 acres.
The company said: “Jane has been, and continues to be, an outstanding role model for women aspiring to senior leadership positions within the automotive industry. She actively encourages gender balance within Copart and has ensured that we have strong female representation across all areas of the business.”
