Bodyshop Awards announces celebrity host and special guest

Bodyshop Magazine is thrilled to announce that Richard Steer, chief executive of Steer Automotive Group, and celebrity host Stephen Mangan will join us for the Bodyshop Awards & Expo 2024 on Thursday, 19 September at the NEC Hilton Birmingham Metropole.

Steer will be at the Collision Intelligence Expo during the day (12:10pm) for a wide-ranging conversation with Bodyshop editor Simon Wait about Steer Automotive Group’s growing business and the wider UK accident repair industry.

The Richard Steer interview is part of a packed Expo agenda (from 09:00-15:00) which includes body repair and new vehicle insights, products and new technology demos, quality networking opportunities, complimentary F&B, and the opportunity to win some fantastic prizes.

Our celebrity host for the evening at the Bodyshop Awards, Stephen Mangan, has appeared in dozens of popular television comedies and dramas, including Green Wing, The Split, Episodes, Adrian Mole, Dirk Gently and I’m Alan Partridge. His film credits include his debut in Billy Elliot, appearing as Postman Pat in Postman Pat: The Movie, and alongside Chris Hemsworth in Rush.

He has starred in numerous plays both in the West End and on Broadway, most recently Private Lives at the Donmar Warehouse. His fifth children’s novel The Day I Fell Down the Toilet was published in April. As a presenter he appears regularly on Have I Got News For You, Pointless and Celebrity Gogglebox as well as fronting the new hit ITV show The Fortune Hotel.

On Thursday Mangan will be adding another string to his bow as host of the Bodyshop Awards 2024. Bodyshop Magazine is looking forward to celebrating its 28th Awards event and eighth group of 30 Under 30 winners together with our esteemed host and the UK accident repair sector.
