Automotive training boost with new skills bursary

Skills company Ennis & Co Group will fund automotive training to the value of £2,500 for a new or existing member of the industry as part of new award.

The Bunny Ennis Fund is an annual award created in memory of Bernard ‘Bunny’ Ennis, the late father of Ennis & Co Group’s Founder and CEO, Lynda Ennis.

It will provide an annual bursary of £2,500 to meet the training and personal development programme costs of someone already in the industry or hoping to join.

To enter the inaugural competition, applicants need to explain how the grant will enhance their careers. Entries close on 2 January, with the winner set to be announced on 6 February.

Lynda Ennis said:

“My father was a very active fundraiser for The Not Forgotten armed forces charity, even into his 90s, and so we’ve created this award to continue his spirit of generosity. One of his sayings was ‘there’s no such word as can’t’, so we’re looking for individuals who share that philosophy and are keen to push the boundaries.

“The fund is intended to give something back to the industry at a time when skills are at a premium and we hope it will play a small part in developing the talent of the future.”
