Auto Windscreens enjoys a year to remember

Auto Windscreens

Auto Windscreens has had a very busy 12 months. The company has introduced 23 service centre managers and supervisors and opened 23 “Service Centres of the Future” as part of new infrastructure to further support technicians and customers.

The continued demand for its repair, replacement and ADAS calibration services has seen it recruit 14 technicians across the country. It has also opened two new London sites, in Tottenham and Park Royal, to serve an increasing number of customers with ADAS requirements. ADAS calibrations now make up nearly 30% of all jobs, up 9.8% on 2022.

Auto Windscreens enjoys ‘extraordinary’ year

Five sites have relocated to more central locations with a larger footprint, to meet demand in Birmingham, Cardiff, Derby, Portsmouth and Harlow. A total of 19 technician and contact centre apprentices graduated this year and are now working in permanent roles. The company marked another milestone of its sustainability journey, with 78% its car fleet being electric and with the delivery of nine electric vans expected in January.

James MacBeth, managing director, said Auto Windscreens enjoys a great 12 months:

“As we approach the end of 2024, I find myself reflecting on what has been an extraordinary year for Auto Windscreens, which culminated in our reaccreditation of our ServiceMark by the Institute of Customer Service. We’ve got big plans for 2025, too. We aim to recruit another 31 apprentice technicians during the 2025 intake, as well as open three new sites and develop 16 into ‘Service Centres for the Future’.

“It’s not all about business, as we carry the spirit of goodwill with us throughout the year. I’m proud the team has donated £32,000 to good causes, with 161 colleagues spending 598 hours volunteering their time. We’ll continue to do so in 2025 and look forward to keeping our customers ‘clearly going places’ over the festive period and into the new year.”
