Repairify celebrates ISO 14001 accreditation
Repairify has been awarded ISO 14001 for its Luton and Peterlee offices, becoming the first company within the Repairify group to achieve the environmental accreditation.
ISO 14001 sets out the standard for an environmental management system.
Repairify met the required certification by ensuring its UK sites are compliant with specific environmental criteria and demonstrated strict monitoring processes and awareness of environmental policies. These include effective waste management, battery containment, spillage kits, energy usage, and fire regulations.
The auditors recognised that Repairify’s environmental management systems and implementation provided confidence that the organisation conforms to the applicable requirements of the specific ISO standard.
Phil Peace, managing director, Repairify, said: “The business’ objective is to be environmentally stable and reduce our carbon footprint. By monitoring our waste carefully, handling it correctly and reducing it significantly, we have been able to achieve ISO 14001 at our first attempt.”
