Ken Jervis Kia wins training award
Stoke-based Ken Jervis Kia has been recognised for its bodyshop apprenticeship programme.
Martec Training, which delivers apprenticeship training to local dealerships, garages and bodyshops, named Kia the number one company for apprentices based on a number of key factors.
These included the progress that the dealership’s apprentices have made and the level of support they’re given by the company.
Over the last three years, Ken Jervis Kia has invested over £300,000 into the purpose-built bodyshop, which houses two state-of-the-art paint ‘spray and bake’ booths. The bodyshop carries out everything from small repairs, including vinyl repairs, light scratch removal and alloy wheel refurbishment, all the way to major insurance repairs.
David Norwood, managing director at Ken Jervis Kia, said: “Apprenticeships are an outstanding way to learn on the job and benefit from the decades of experience our staff have, while also working in an active team and benefiting from further classroom tuition, provided by Martec Training. We’re delighted to win this award, which is a real testament to both our apprentices and the staff working alongside and supporting them.”
