IGA sets sights on apprenticeships
The Independent Garage Association (IGA) is calling on the automotive industry to provide their insights on apprenticeship opportunities within the sector.
The focus is on identifying what can be done to create greater apprenticeship opportunities across the industry.
The IGA will then use that feedback to lobby for increased support and resources from government agencies to promote apprentice recruitment and training within the automotive sector.
It is now inviting all industry members to take part in a short survey, the results of which will help create effective plans to develop a skilled workforce for the future.
Stuart James, chief executive of the IGA, said: “Investing in apprenticeships is essential for securing the future of our industry. The dedication and expertise of a skilled workforce are vital in meeting the ever-evolving demands of the automotive sector. We encourage all our members in the industry to share their perspectives, so together, we can create meaningful apprenticeship opportunities that will benefit businesses, apprentices, consumers and the sector as a whole.”
