Fix Auto UK celebrates 100th Mental Health first aider
Fix Auto UK has announced that its 100th individual has successfully completed their Mental Health First Aid England course.
The milestone has been completed less than 18 months after the network became the first in the industry to launch the initiative, with the aim of ensuring everyone within head office and at least two colleagues at every franchise partner are qualified Mental Health First Aiders.
Carl Norton, Fix Auto UK’s regional business manager, said: “This is an extremely proud day for me, personally, and for the network. To have 100 successfully qualified Mental Health First Aiders in less than 18 months is beyond all my expectations when we started this journey to ensure everyone within the network has access to support.
“But this really is just the start. The course is gaining momentum with our Franchise Partners and will only accelerate. The feedback from those who have attended has been incredible. I have had several first aiders come to me after completing the course with what can only be described as ‘success’ stories whereby individuals within their teams have directly approached them for help and support.”
Fix Auto UK’s managing director Ian Pugh, added: “This is not justabout duty of care. It runs far deeper. It is often said being part of Fix Auto UK is being part of a family and family members look out for each other and that is exactly what we’re doing. We are extremely fortunate to have Carl on board. He is so passionate about the subject which is so prevalent today. Having 100 successful candidates passing through our course in less that 18 months is a magnificent achievement.”
