Core Diagnostics names new technical sales director
Core Diagnostics has appointed Neil Hilton as technical sales director.
The appointment is part of the company’s strategy to establish itself as the UK’s leading provider of remote support services.
Hilton joins Core Diagnostics from HELLA where he spent over 13 years as head of garage equipment. He also consulted on new product development and established a reputation as an ADAS expert, joining Thatcham Research’s ADAS steering group where he was heavily involved in the development of the Insurance Industry Requirements for the safe repair of ADAS equipped vehicles (IIR) introduced in 2021.
He said: “With vehicle systems being ever-more sophisticated, ADAS calibration and coding and programming of new parts can be challenging at the best of times. In recent years we’ve seen remote diagnostics become an increasingly valuable workshop tool and I’m in no doubt that it’s the future.
“Core Diagnostics were among the first to recognise this and their unrivalled investment in systems and expertise has put them at the spearhead of this new technology. I’m excited to join the team and look forward to helping to make Core Diagnostics the number one brand in remote support.”
Mark Fleming, CEO of Core Diagnostics, said: “I’m proud of the reputation that Core Diagnostics has already established in the market and as we look to scale the business I’m delighted that someone so knowledgeable about ADAS and highly-respected as Neil not only sees the potential for remote diagnostics, but shares our vision for the future and is excited to be part of this journey.”
