Sytner Group celebrates EV accreditation
Sytner Group repairers in Slough, West London, Reading, Leeds, Nottingham, Derby and Bradford Audi have now all secured Electric Vehicle Approved Accreditation.
The Electric Vehicle Approved (EVA) scheme has been developed by the National Franchised Dealers Association (NFDA) to recognise retailers’ excellence in the electric vehicle sector. EVA is endorsed by the Government’s Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) and Energy Saving Trust.
The scheme encourages dealerships to further develop their ability in selling and servicing electric vehicles. It recognises dealers’ expertise in the electric vehicle sector and promotes industry standards for the benefit of the consumer.
Ray Campbell, head of business at Slough Audi, said: “We are delighted to receive our EVA accreditation at Slough Audi and it’s fantastic that the rest of the dealerships are now on-boarding and taking up this opportunity. Now customers can be reassured that here they will receive the best advice and support when buying an electric vehicle.”
To gain the accreditation, Sytner Group colleagues undertook intensive training to show a sold understanding of all electric and hybrid model variants. In addition to this, aftersales and technical colleagues received comprehensive training to understand every detail of EVs.
Areas where colleagues have demonstrated knowledge include: charging an EV, different driving modes and their impacts, electric driving range and fuel consumption for plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV), guidance on servicing and maintenance of an EV and much more.
