Support shown for Ben automotive charity
Messe Frankfurt, organisers of the UK Garage and Bodyshop Event, has presented a cheque to Ben for £1,063, following a highly successful partnership at this year’s show.
The amount was raised through a combination of corporate donation and individual donations that Ben received from attendees at the show who took part in a video game racing challenge.
Ben supports people to navigate life’s challenges, helping them make positive, lasting changes to their lives. The dedicated automotive charity works closely with individuals and companies to improve people’s health and wellbeing, offering life-changing support and helping people with their mental health, physical health and their wellbeing.
Ben also operates flexible, continuing care and support for those in later life, which is not dependent on an automotive industry connection. This includes excellent nursing, residential, dementia and respite care.
Ellen Plumer, head of outreach, health and wellbeing for Ben, said: “We are delighted to work in partnership with Messe Frankfurt, promoting the health and wellbeing message to attendees of the show, and this generous donation will enable us to offer life-saving help to more of those in our automotive community who really need our support.”
Simon Albert, managing director of Messe Frankfurt UK, said: “BEN does incredible work within the automotive aftermarket sector, supporting the industry’s people to make positive changes and navigate the curveballs life can throw at us. We’re delighted to support such an important cause with our partnership at the first UK Garage and Bodyshop Event, which has raised some great funds.”
