Fix Auto UK event a sell-out

Fix Auto UK’s National Conference will attract a record number of delegates when it takes place at The Vox Conference Centre near Birmingham on 2-3 March.

The network has turned to Richard Barlow, founder and CEO of the Wejo, one of the world’s leading organisations that has pioneered the provision of connected automotive data, as a replacement for key speaker, ‘futurist’ Thomas Frey, who was forced to pull out due to Covid travel restrictions.

He will line up alongside former Top Gear and Fifth Gear host and firm TV favourite Tiff Needell, ex-rally driver Penny Mallory and Casper Craven, a leading motivational and teamwork keynote speaker.

The vehicle repair sector will be represented on stage by Paul Gange, the newly appointed president of Advantage Parts Solutions North America, and Dave Shepherd, former multi-bodyshop owner who recently held a senior executive position within Solera and oversaw Audatex UK.

The insurer-led awards will be presented during the evening’s celebrations commemorating the exemplary services provided by Fix Auto Franchise Partners together with a whole host of internal awards recognising a variety of achievements including the network’s Bodyshop Of The Year, its Region of the Year, Green Bodyshop of the Year, Network Employee Of The Year and Outstanding Customer Service Award.

Ian Pugh, Fix Auto UK’s managing director, said: “Having been forced to cancel our event in 2020 and then taking the difficult decision to postpone it in 2021 because of so much uncertainty surrounding Covid, you could say next month’s National Conference has been two years in the making and I’m confident it will not disappoint.

“We are fortunate to be welcoming around 400 delegates to attend the event and I am grateful to be supported by the largest gathering of key businesses and insurers in the industry which reflects how our National Conference has grown and regarded in such high esteem by our industry.”
