Carlac signs up to School of Thought
Automotive supplier Carlac has become a corporate partner of The School of Thought.
The School of Thought’s single goal is to secure and attract the industry’s workforce of tomorrow through inspiring programmes for young people and connecting them with businesses – securing promising career paths.
Neil Firth, Carlac managing director, said: “We are delighted to confirm our corporate partner status with The School of Thought. We recognise the tipping point we’re facing in the industry and our obligations to address and resolve the skills and generational gap. By aligning and supporting The School of Thought’s innovative programmes and initiatives, we aim to collectively attract, inspire and retain young talent.”
School of Thought founder Dave Reece said: “I can’t thank the team Carlac enough for joining us a corporate partner. I have a long history with Carlac, and I’m hugely excited to have them on board.
“The growing concern about the lack of skilled young talent coming into our industry is unsettling. However, by connecting with Carlac, other partners and our extensive ambassador network, I’m confident that we will promote the industry and deliver our message to students, parents and teachers throughout the UK.”
The School of Thought will showcase its work at the upcoming UK Garage and Bodyshop Event at the NEC on 8-9 June.
