Autotech supports AA EV training
Autotech Training is supporting the AA as it works towards its objective to equip its entire fleet of patrols with IMI-accredited industry leading electric vehicle training.
As the UK’s number one breakdown provider, the AA announced a target earlier this year to train all of its patrols to at least IMI Level 2 electric/hybrid vehicle certification by the end of 2022.
Autotech Training is now working towards training over 100 AA patrols to IMI Level 3, with courses being carried out within either Autotech Training’s dedicated EV training facility in Milton Keynes, of from the AA’s own training centre.
Colin Gleghorn, MD of Autotech Training, said: “We are delighted to support the AA. The number of EVs on the road is rising and it is essential that patrols have the EV skill set to carry out any repair work safely.”
Nicholas Foxall, The AA’s Road Training Manager, said: “Working with Autotech Training has enabled us to increase training capacity for our patrols and ensure that they are receiving industry leading development in Electric Vehicles. Combining our own bespoke training alongside Autotech Training’s electric vehicle training courses, and their team of highly skilled and experienced trainers, ensures that we can better prepare our patrols for ever-changing technologies.”
