LKQ training goes online

LKQ Euro Car Parts has enhanced its training offering for garages, with the addition of a new e-learning suite.

The courses from AutoEducation Academy cover everything from MOTs and diagnostics to hybrids and EVs, as well as specific components like brakes, electrics, air conditioning, and steering and suspension.

Later this month, a comprehensive programme of health and safety, HR compliance, business compliance and management courses will be added, too.

The idea is that technicians can fit learning and development around their lives, with the flexibility to fit in training at a time that suits their working day demands. There are basic and advanced options, and package discounts available, so training programmes can also be designed based on the specific needs of the trainee.

Workshop Solutions director Adam White said: “As a business, we’ve already talked a lot about digitalisation being the aftermarket’s biggest opportunity in 2021. We and our customers have a shared responsibility to develop our digital capabilities, with a view to driving efficiencies and improving the long-term competitiveness of the independent aftermarket. Our new e-learning suite is key to this.

“The launch is underpinned by the widespread adoption of remote working practices. We have plans in place to continue offering Covid-secure, face-to-face learning for customers who work best in a classroom setting when the time is right, and we now have an additional, digital option for those who prefer more flexibility.”
