RWC offers one-stop training solution
SMH Fleet Solutions has appointed RWC Training as its official training provider and training management partner.
As part of the deal, RWC will not only deliver a host of technical training courses bespoke to the SMH business needs, but they will also oversee and manage large aspects of the company’s training and development programme, even if it does not deliver that training itself.
SMH Fleet Solutions has four main sites with more 450 staff.
RWC Training founder Rob Ward said, ‘The introduction of our new training management portal – SPIRE – allows us to manage all training activity across the SMH sites, enabling site managers and the HR team to run a simple gap analysis for an instant aerial view of their complaint status.
‘We also deliver a Traineeship for SMH. It’s like an apprenticeship but it’s for all ages. We’ve introduced this programme so the business can develop their own people. We help them recruit trainees in the first instance with interviews and skills assessment days, and we then look after and train them for a period of two years by a block release basis, when they can achieve a formal qualification on completion. We’re over 18 months into that now and it’s been really successful.’
RWC is now offering this service to other major organisations, delivering bespoke training on products and processes that are specific to each company. As part of its growth, RWC has also launched a new company called Training Management Systems Ltd to offer similar training management packages to organisations outside the automotive aftermarket industry.
