Motorpoint expansion to create dozen Scottish jobs
Motorpoint will create over a dozen new jobs when it opens a purpose-built vehicle preparation centre in Motherwell later this summer.
The retailer is relocating its existing centre to the new eight-acre facility in early August to support ambitious growth plans for the business across Scotland.
The majority of the existing preparation team in Glasgow are relocating to Motherwell, and once fully operational, the 35-strong Motherwell team will have the capacity to process up to 20,000 cars and light commercial vehicles per year.
Motorpoint is now actively looking for automotive yard assistants, preparation centre supervisors and vehicle technicians.
Terry Burns, operations manager, said: “Motorpoint is rapidly expanding and, to help facilitate this growth in Scotland, we need to fill a number of roles to help support the existing team relocating to our new centre.”
