Fix Auto Penzance celebrates green gong
Fix Auto Penzance’s eco credentials were further cemented when it was awarded the Carbon Footprint Independent Award at the National Body Repair Association’s annual Green Awards.
Owner Stuart Cameron received the award after Fix Auto Penzance became the first franchise partner within Fix Auto UK’s network to gain full carbon neutral status after meeting guidelines outlined in the PAS 2060 specification in May, and then returned to the stage to collect the Greener Bodyshop Silver Award.
He said: “Receiving an award is always a proud moment for any business owner, but being recognised by the industry for our green credentials takes that pride to another level.
“I am extremely fortunate that my entire team at Fix Auto Penzance have truly bought into the necessity to operate as ecologically-friendly as possible. I have invested heavily to ensure our goal of being carbon neutral and while we have succeeded, we are not resting on our laurels as we are constantly looking at our operation and our processes to see how we can implement further improvements.”
Meanwhile, Fix Auto Mid Devon was presented with the Green Bodyshop Silver Award, while Fix Auto Dagenham were finalists in the Charity Award category.
