Clemens brothers plan fourth Fix Auto bodyshop
Brothers Terry and Chris Clemens plan to open their fourth Fix Auto UK repair centre on the south coast within weeks.
Fix Auto Yeovil is scheduled to open for business by the end of August after the duo received the keys this week to a 5,500-sqft industrial unit in the centre of the Somerset town.
The pair established Fix Auto Portsmouth over a decade ago. Two years after joining Fix Auto UK in 2014 they opened Fix Auto Bournemouth and then followed that by opening their third site, Fix Auto Isle of Wight, in 2018.
When fully operational, Fix Auto Yeovil will have the capacity to match Portsmouth and Bournemouth which, when repair volumes return to normality, will surpass 45 vehicles a week.
Terry said: “We have made no secret of our plans to continue expanding and while some people may believe we’re being a little hasty expanding further during what’s been a challenging time for many due to Covid and subsequent reductions in volume, we have viewed this as a great business opportunity for us.
“Yeovil is one of the few areas here in the south of England where Fix Auto UK have no presence, but not anymore. We have found ourselves a superb unit perfectly positioned for easy and fluid access. Just like Portsmouth, Bournemouth and the Isle of Wight, it’s a great opportunity for us to continue our growth strategy across the south of England.”
