TrustFord delivers on Asda order
TrustFord has completed the first delivery in a significant fleet order for Asda.
The newly fitted-out commercial vehicles were handed over at Asda’s Lancaster Superstore.
TrustFord’s fleet and CV director Mark Wilkie said: “The fleet team has continued throughout lockdown to ensure key services have been able to keep functioning. With support from both sides and Ford Motor Company we have been able to turn the fleet order around and to specification in very unusual circumstances. Every detail has been looked at, including special handover briefings to ensure Asda’s drivers are fully confident with their new Transit Home Delivery vehicles and can enjoy their new driving experience.”
Asda’s senior manager National Fleets, Sean Clifton, said: “The collaborative approach to the project has been tremendous – not just the supply of great vehicles but also the significant evolution of the aftersales vehicle maintenance model. Given the backdrop of the pandemic, the teams have barely missed a beat in bringing these vehicles to our stores.”
