RAC wins BCA contract

The RAC has won a new three-year contract to provide specialist inspection services within the auction business of BCA.

The deal, the largest of its kind in the UK, will see the RAC carry out pre-sale inspections on around 750,000 vehicles a year at BCA’s remarketing centres nationwide as part of the BCA Assured programme.

BCA works with OEMs, fleet operators and dealers to provide the backbone of Europe’s automotive supply chain, remarketing nearly 1.5 million vehicles annually.

The RAC will also capture additional vehicle data to provide BCA with a richer insight into the condition of vehicles that it handles.

RAC business roadside director Phil Ryan said: “We’re confident we have a service that offers the scale and depth of experience that will bring significant benefits to the successful BCA Assured programme.”

The contract between the RAC and BCA runs for three years from July 2020.
