Nominations extended for bodyshop awards

With the coronavirus lockdown still in force, bodyshop magazine has extended until 31 May 2020 the nominations window for its two annual awards initiatives.

While submissions continue to stream in through our online nominations forms for bodyshop Live! 2020 and 30 under 20: rising stars, we thought you deserved a bit more time to tell us about your favourite business or individual in the various categories.

Of course, with the outbreak still in full flush, we have been forced to push back the September schedule for the awards event itself, and that will now be taking place later in the year – dates to be announced – when we will all be in need of a proper post-pandemic get together.

This also means the hands-on assessments for the Powered by Vizionbodyshop Remit Technician and Apprentice Awards – for experienced and trainee-level MET, panel and paint technicians – will be delayed, but we will inform you of the new schedule as soon as we can. The same applies to the VDA of the Year practicals which will be held at Thatcham Research.

So until then, head over the online forms on bodyshopmag.com and nominate yourself, a colleague, peer or business in one of the main awards categories or 30 under 30: rising stars in partnership with 3M.

As part of our effort to deliver a transparent process for the industry’s only independent awards, we can now introduce the final three jurors on our 15-member judging panel. For those of you who have been keeping count over the past five issues of bodyshop magazine, this brings to 447 the total number of years of industry experience among our judges.
