New bodyshop group offers select membership

A new bodyshop group is inviting repairers across the UK to join forces and reap the benefits of being part of a larger organisation while retaining their own unique identity.

Created by Dale Hing and his team, the Select Bodyshop Group objectives are straightforward: “To provide real value in helping bodyshops to become more profitable and sustainable by boosting opportunity and performance.”

Hing added: “Enabling bodyshops to re-energise and develop their business, this dynamic and engaging group has been designed not just to help members navigate through current adversities, but to continue enjoying the many tangible benefits the Select Bodyshop Group has to offer.”

Those benefits include: net profit growth through VDA process improvement and support; work-mix modification; parts gross profit uplift and purchasing economies; sustainable and profitable work provision; contract negotiation and legal assistance; interactive group best-practice engagement and networking; compliance assistance; bespoke coaching and training; business development and retail strategies; group events; and business improvement consultancy.

A collision repair industry specialist with more than 15 years successfully developing bodyshop groups, including eight years at Marshall Motor Group, Hing believes this is the right time to offer the wider UK industry an alternative to the status quo.

“The objectives have been carefully considered in terms of what many bodyshops can really benefit from now and in the future,” he said.

“With considerable interest from various geographical areas, the group will mostly be made up of businesses that are not only keen to enjoy the shared group profile and the increased profitability and sustainability opportunities that Select Bodyshop Group has to offer, but also to retain their own identity.”
