National Windscreens boosts Scottish service
National Windscreens has opened a regional distribution centre in Glasgow, Scotland.
The 10,000 sqft bespoke facility will supply National Windscreens’ nine fitting and Advanced Driver Assisted Systems (ADAS) calibration centres in Scotland. It will also facilitate daily deliveries from its warehouse in Pinxton, which holds over 11,000 product lines.
Six jobs have already been created as a result of this investment, which comes as part of the company’s commitment to maintaining the UK’s largest fitting and ADAS calibration network of 108 centres and over 800 mobile technicians.
Andy Rae, regional director at National Windscreens said: “We have invested in a new state of the art distribution centre to allow us to continue providing motorists with the highest possible level of service.
“The increase in the number of windscreen variations for vehicles is a factor driving this investment; we want to ensure we’re stocking as many variants as possible in the Scottish region, to meet customer demand.
“A combination of significant market growth and the development of windscreen and ADAS technology means we need more storage for glass replacement parts.”
