Motorpoint surpasses charity target

Motorpoint has raised over £2,600 for The Prince of Wales Hospice.

It teamed up with The Prince of Wales Hospice in Pontefract in the run up to Christmas to build a special charity ice skating rink, which attracted more than 700 people stepping on the ice.

Chris Goodison, general manager of Motorpoint Castleford, said: “This is the third year that we have teamed up with The Prince of Wales Hospice to do this event and it gets better every time. It was wonderful to see so many people coming to the Motorpoint Castleford branch over the weekend to enjoy themselves and together helping us to raise over £2,600 for the charity. We really can’t thank people enough.”

Motorpoint is a long-standing supporter of The Prince of Wales Hospice. Founded in 1989, it has provided palliative care and support to patients from the Five Towns with life-limiting illnesses from its base at Halfpenny Lane in Pontefract. It has helped raise over £50,000 for the charity through its fundraising activities since 2017.
