Motofix joins Association of Fleet Professionals

Motofix Group has become a member of the recently-launched Association of Fleet Professionals (AFP).

The AFP is the fleet industry’s recognised membership organisation and was formed in March from the merging of ACFO (Association of Car Fleet Operators) and the ICFM (Institute of Car Fleet Management).

Motofix, one of the UK’s leading independent regional bodyshop groups, will support the AFP in providing fleet decision-makers with expert insight from the accident repair sector to help guide them through the ever-increasing complexities of vehicle repair.

The company will also participate in the organisation’s expert committees, which cover topics such as hybrid and electric cars, low carbon and alternative fuels, as well as enhancing Motofix’s own staff and management development by using training provided by AFP.

Andy Lawlor, business development director at Motofix, said: “Our team will gain a much more detailed understanding of fleet operator and fleet manager requirements through its membership of the AFP. Fleet-related training will better equip our staff and managers with a broader management capability through understanding fleet operator needs. Thanks to our new alignment with AFP, we will continue to keep pace with the ever-changing needs of the fleet market.”

Peter Eldridge, sales director at the AFP, said: “Since we announced the formation of the AFP in March, there has been a rush of interest with many new members joining. Our intention was to create an organisation that could speak for the fleet sector with one voice and we are pleased to see that so many people want to become part of that vision.”
