MG Cannon hits high-5 with Groupe PSA

MG Cannon’s Dorchester, Gloucester, Plymouth, Salisbury and Westbury sites have been accepted as five of the approximately 100 sites confirmed so far to be part of the new consolidated Groupe PSA multi-brand accident repair programme.

All five sites are now approved for the Peugeot, Citroen, DS and Vauxhall brands.

Richard Dyson, Groupe PSA UK’s parts and service director, said: “By channelling all of Groupe PSA UK’s expertise into a single accident repair programme, we are creating one simple network that covers all four brands, with great benefits for all those involved in accident repair.

“With the ever-increasing number and complexity of vehicle technologies, including electric and hybrid vehicles, it is critical that we work with the accident repair centres across our network to ensure the highest quality of repair with the very best in customer service.”

Chris Downing, head of operations – Distrigo, Trade & Bodyshop, added: “The bodyshops will be serviced by Groupe PSA’s Distrigo Parts Distribution network, offering the PSA OE [original equipment] and aftermarket range Eurorepar, as well as a range of aftermarket brands, which is a completely unique offering in the market place. In a rapidly changing market environment, this strategy underpins our objective to fulfil our customers’ aftersales expectations, regardless of their purchasing power and the make and age of their vehicle.”

MG Cannon CEO Robert Snook said: “We are delighted to be part of the new Groupe PSA network and to have all brands consolidated under one approval with one programme and one audit. It puts five of our sites in an ideal position to provide the consistent quality of repair and levels of brand experience rightly expected by all four Groupe PSA brands, their retailers and their customers.”

MG Cannon operates from 10 sites – six manufacturer-approved bodyshops and four Magic cosmetic repair centres across 10 counties, with 37 leading manufacturer brand approvals including Tesla, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Groupe PSA, Volvo and Volkswagen Group.
