Meet more winners from bodyshop’s 30 under 30

bodyshop magazine is delighted to introduce another group of six exceptional winners from this year’s 30 under 30: rising stars awards:

Ollie Ainscough | paint and body operations co-ordinator | Volkswagen Group UK

“Ollie’s an undergrad student studying at De Montfort University and on placement at VWGUK. In his time with us, he has shown a clear drive and determination to develop and build two IT systems that will firstly manage our marketing material for the VWGUK approved bodyshop network and a second website called “The VWGUK Insurer Portal” that is designed to educate insurers for the wider benefit of the policyholder. Ollie is certainly one of our industry’s stars of the future and one to watch.”

– Franco Iannotta, bodyshop development manager, Volkswagen Group

Liam Allaston | panel technician | Solus ARC Basingstoke

“Liam is the youngest structural aluminium repair tech in Solus, and possibly the whole of the UK, at 22 years young.”

– Steve Wade, production lead, Solus ARC Basingstoke

Phil Gilbert | bodyshop manager | Parkway Prestige

“Phil is a very bright, intelligent young man who always has a sunny disposition. He works incredibly hard and is extremely well liked and respected by us all at the Volvo Body and Paint Programme. He is very passionate and committed about his day job and in doing a great job for our brand, and is a very welcome addition to the network and programme.”

– Steve Plunkett, Volvo Body and Paint Programme development manager, Volvo Car UK

Craig Keast | ATA painter | Gemini Bodmin

“Craig has proved himself to be a brilliant young worker and he is very good at his job for somebody so young.”

– Richard Dart, general manager, Gemini Bodmin

Rachel Murray | painter | Paint by Rach

“Rachel has shown a real commitment to her trade and to the industry.”

– Sunny Yip, proprietor, Auto Spray

Georgia Spybey | apprentice panel technician | Solus ARC Luton

“Georgia came to us with welding experience already at just 17. Her mentor and panel team are hugely impressed with her ability and skill. Georgia’s aspirations are to be a role model for other females in the industry to break down any unconscious bias. She has certainly done that already within the bodyshop where she works, so much so other technicians have started to introduce their daughters to the industry.”

– Stephanie Brindley, regional operations lead, Solus Accident Repair Centres

Come back later this week to meet the final group of winners from this year’s bodyshop 30 under 30: rising stars awards powered by 3M.
