Jetta sales take off in China
Volkswagen’s sub-brand Jetta delivered 13,500 cars to customers in China in April, which translates to about one per cent of the market.
It has sold about 38,000 vehicles so far this year, and about 81,000 since entering the market since launch last September.
The Jetta model range is described as an “entry level option” and includes one sedan and two SUVs – about 80 per cent of customers are first-time buyers, with many located in emerging cities.
