IBIS talks to Enterprise CEO Chrissy Taylor

The International Bodyshop Industry Symposium (IBIS) has unveiled the latest recording in its Partners in the Spotlight series – an interview with Chrissy Taylor, CEO of Enterprise Holdings.

Enterprise remains one of the longest supporting partners of IBIS and of the 10-year relationship Taylor told IBIS CEO Jason Moseley that she “happened to be working in the UK 10 years ago at the very time the IBIS-Enterprise partnership started.” She continued: “It’s been a wonderful platform for Enterprise to connect at a global level with partners, repairers, technology companies and so on.”

In the video, Taylor talks candidly about how she and her family have appreciated their time together during the global pandemic and how her team’s tremendous personal commitment to the business has supported her as CEO during these challenging times.

Taylor explained that throughout Enterprise’s 63-year history it has managed through numerous challenging news events such as the World Trade Centre attacks, the 1970s fuel crisis, and the 2008 recession. However, nothing could have prepared them for the unexpected velocity of Covid-19.

Taylor outlines some of the many initiatives she and her close-knit team have put in place to “weather the storm”, including curb-side rentals, the Complete Clean Pledge, and low-touch and no-touch service offerings. Taylor’s vision was to ensure that in everything Enterprise did as a business it was building confidence among consumers and employees that it was providing a safe and secure end-to-end experience.

During their conversation, Moseley was keen to know if the way it reacted to the pandemic would give Enterprise a competitive advantage when it comes to the collision repair and insurance sectors. Her response was that, as long as Enterprise continued to do what it does best, which is to innovate, develop people and lead, it would keep its competitive advantage.

At the end, the conversation turned to the subject of people and talent development, something that is dear and important to IBIS as it continues to champion young people developing a career in the industry through its support of WorldSkills. Taylor was completely on the same page through her belief that Enterprise needs to continue to reinvest in its people as that’s what makes it so strong.
