IBIS partner in the spotlight: 3M
The International Bodyshop Industry Symposium has today announced that it will be showcasing its relationship with a number of its IBIS Global Summit partners as they prepare for the event scheduled to take place at Le Méridien in Monaco on 19 and 20 November.
IBIS’s position globally as the glue that binds together all parts of the auto collision repair industry is only made possible through the tremendous partnerships it has forged to determine and shape IBIS event content, attract the best subject matter experts and deliver a world-class delegate experience.
The first “partner in the spotlight” is 3M whose relationship with IBIS goes back more than a decade. IBIS CEO Jason Moseley summed up the IBIS-3M global agreement as one that “allows 3M and IBIS to work together internationally to help raise knowledge levels, promote thought leadership, network, and invest in skills and training for bodyshops around the world”.
For David Schneider, global director for 3M Automotive Aftermarket Division, the relationship is “about giving something back to our industry through awareness on employee attraction and retention”.
In an interview with Moseley available online at www.ibisworldwide.com, Schneider said: “It’s also about bringing the right players and customers together to share best practices or processes and tackle tough questions as the cars that the technicians repair continues to evolve.”
In the interview the pair explores many topics starting with 3M’s focus on innovation. Schneider speaks about the 3M™ PPS™ Series 2.0 disposable paint cup system, 3M’s blue abrasive family, and 3M’s Perfect-It™ One-Step polish.
They also talk about new product innovation, 3M’s fantastic work to produce much-needed PPE during the global pandemic as well as sustainability, before turning their attention to their desire to encourage and enable young people to enter our industry.
