Great Women speaker line-up confirmed
Autocar has confirmed its speaker line-up for its annual Great Women in the British Car Industry event. Hosted in partnership with the SMMT on 16 September, this year’s event will be held entirely online.
The event will begin with a live discussion featuring executive vice-president of the PSA Group, and twice former winner of the initiative, Linda Jackson, before she is followed on stage by Clare Connor, former England cricket captain and the ECB’s managing director of women’s cricket, and Astrid Fontaine, Bentley’s board member for people, digitalisation and IT.
A panel discussion hosted by Rachael Prasher, Haymarket Automotive’s managing director, will follow, with participants including Paula Cooper of Toyota, Alison Fisher of Cox Automotive, Robert Forrester of Vertu Motors and Katherine Zachary of Nissan Europe.
The awards recognise the top 100 women in the industry across 12 categories with one overall winner taking home the top award. The 12 categories are: Design, Executive, Government Affairs, Manufacturing, Marketing, Mobility and Digital, Operations, People Development, PR and Comms, Sales – manufacturers, Sales – retail, and Vehicle Development.
There is also an Apprentice category sitting outside the top 100 that celebrates the rising stars at the beginning of their careers in the automotive industry.
