Ford Fiesta tops 2019 charts
Ford Fiesta and Nissan Qashqai were named the most popular models of 2019 in England, Scotland and Wales.
According to Motorpoint, customers at its network across the UK named Ford Fiesta the best-selling model with the Nissan Qashqai second. It means the two swap places from 2018.
The BMW 1 Series and 3 Series were third and fourth most popular models, while the Citroen C3 was named fifth. Completing the top 10 were the Mercedes-Benz A Class, Fiat 500, Ford Kuga, Ford Focus and Renault Clio.
Mark Carpenter, chief executive officer at Motorpoint, said: “The Ford Fiesta continues to be perennially popular with Motorpoint customers thanks to its versatility, low running costs and great savings off list price, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see it topping the charts this time next year based on demand already in 2020.
“It also reflects the continuing overall trend among Motorpoint customers, as shown by the inclusion in our Top 10 of models such as the Citroen C3, Ford Focus, Fiat 500 and Renault Clio, towards smaller, more budget conscious and environmentally-friendly vehicles,” he said.
