Ellesmere Port plant shut-down extended
The PSA Group has confirmed that Vauxhall’s Ellesmere Port plant will remain closed until at least September. It closed its doors in late March.
However, with production at its Luton plant increasing PSA Group has said that as many as 250 workers will move from Ellesmere to Luton to support the introduction of a third shift.
The news raises questions about the future of the Ellesmere Port plant, which employs about 1,000 people.
