Copart expands fleet with 150 specialist transporters
Copart UK has expanded its fleet with a total of 150 new DAF and Volvo based specialist multi-car transporters, which will all be on the road by next year.
The new transporters are being built to Copart standards by specialist transporter builders Belle Trailers. A confirmed build schedule is now in place and Copart anticipate all 150 new transporters to be operational by 2021.
Phil Briggs, director of operations centres, transport and engineering said: “This significant investment into our transport fleet will not only expand and strengthen our UK wide operational capacity but will also further cement our position as an industry leader.
“By 2021, Copart will have a 250-strong fleet of Euro 6-compliant transporters which meet all the latest emission standards and we are planning to explore alternative fuel options as we continue to expand in the future. We’re delighted to continue working with Belle Trailers, whose support and expertise have been invaluable in providing Copart with an efficient, safe and environmentally compliant fleet.”
