CAPS analysis shows 14% jump in claims
CAPS has released its latest analysis report for the week ending 22 May, showing a 14% increase in claims activity exchanged across its platform compared to the preceding week.
While unique claims have continued to rise since their lowest point during the week ending 17 April, the latest report shows a sizeable jump from 38% of pre-lockdown numbers on 15 May, to 54% on Friday.
“A review of the analysis shows an increase of claims activity by 14% from the previous week,” said Kevern Thompson, commercial manager at CAPS (the Common Automotive Platform Standard).
For the purposes of the report, a unique claim is “initiated and seen for the first time – a single count”, while a supply chain transmission is any action on the same claim such as a notification to a parts vendor.
