Business booms before lockdown

CAPS has reported a spike in both unique claims and supply chain transmissions in the week before Lockdown 2:0 was imposed.

Its data found that unique claims rose from 90% in the week ending 24 October to 106% the following week, while transmissions jumped from 91% to 105% in the same period.

Meanwhile, claim volumes exchanged were also up on the previous month for both unique claims (16%) and supply chain transmissions (14%).

The south east and north west have accounted for the bulk of claims in the past fortnight, with Greater London, the west midlands and the east of England also remaining steady into the first week of November.
