Auto Soft helps ‘automate’ social distancing

Auto Soft has added a “No Customer Contact Signature” (NCCS) process to its bodyshop management system to help protect the staff and customers of its repairer clients during the coronavirus outbreak.

The system, which has been in development for some time and went live on Saturday, enables bodyshops to maintain social distancing with their customers throughout vehicle collection, check-in and delivery.

The Auto Soft Bodyshop System emails a collection note to the smartphone or tablet PC of the customer, who then clicks a virtual red button to sign the document.

“Many bodyshops are about to open their doors again,” said Auto Soft founder Rohit Shah. “They have implemented safety changes within their own premises but when they are interacting with customers, particularly when collecting and delivering vehicles, they are outside that safe environment and the last thing they need is for their staff or customers to catch the coronavirus.

“The [NCCS] system simply sends the collection/satisfaction note, vehicle check-in or delivery information direct to the customer, who then signs on their phone using the ‘any device signature system capture’ developed by Auto Soft. This is where the magic happens as that signature is automatically and instantly transferred into the bodyshop’s system,” Shah added.

The new NCCS feature is available free to all Auto Soft customers.
