A dozen jobs created as React expands

React Accident Repair Group will open a new site Scunthorpe in October, creating 12 jobs initially, rising to 20 in the new year.

Roles available at the new premises in Scunthorpe include estimators, panel beaters, paint technicians and sprayers, transport and logistics operators, valeters and receptionists.

React is owned by John Pattinson, Barry Whittles and Chris Elton, who joined forces two years ago to form React Accident Repair Group, which subsequently acquired The Paint & Body Shop in Hull.

Pattinson, managing director, said: “Many may think that the current economic climate would make this a challenging time to expand but, for us, we feel the timing is perfect. The support of our incredible team has meant that we are experiencing higher levels of demand for our services than ever before and it’s really exciting to be expanding into North Lincolnshire to capitalise on this momentum.

“As a Group, our business ethos, values and structure are rooted here in East Yorkshire. As such, we are passionately invested in our regional economy and look forward to playing our part in creating new job opportunities and ensuring that our service centres have a lasting, profound and positive impact on the communities in which we are based.”
