Superstars’ supercars under the hammer

A collection of supercars owned by superstars will go on sale on a bumper day at Heythrop Park, Oxfordshire on 11 May.

Models owned by the likes of Chris Evans and Jamiroquai frontman, Jay Kay will be up for auction through Silverstone Auctions, at The British Marques and Heythrop Classic Car sale.

The two sales include 75 lots of rare and exotic cars and 109 lots of Automobilia.

Amongst the lots are the Aston Martin DB5, once owned by renowned car collector Chris Evans and used as the official car on a limited edition of stamps by the Royal Mail, as well as a Mini Cooper Sport owned by Jay Kay.

Arwel Richards, auction manager for the Heythrop sale, said, ‘The team has put together a great catalogue of the finest and most interesting motorcars. There is literally a car for every enthusiast.

‘Using specialist knowledge and working closely with vendors from all over the UK and Europe, the cars all come together in one place offering the buyer a unique choice. This sale exemplifies why using a specialist auction house to sell rare, low mileage and impeccably restored cars, is key in today’s market. It offers the buyer a huge choice.’
