Smart choice in Basingstoke

Smart Bodyshop in Basingstoke has joined Fix Auto UK and will now operate as Fix Auto Basingstoke.

The business was formed by Dale Morris six years ago and the operation moved to a new 10,000 sqft repair centre 18 months ago. The repair centre features two spray booths including an STL Tempo spray booth to allow for express repairs.

It has a workforce of 22 and holds vehicle manufacturer approvals for Hyundai, Kia, Mazda, Mitsubishi and Fiat Group.

Morris said: “We have excelled as a stand-alone, independent repair centre and I am extremely proud of where we are today after just six years, but in order to progress and develop in this industry you have to be part of a network alongside ambitious repairers. We can utilise their help, support and guidance to continue our progression plans.

“In 2017, we had to move out of our original base but we now have a truly brilliant facility built to our own specifications to ensure the quickest repairs and the finest customer experience possible.”

Fix Auto UK’s Ian Pugh said: “We look for franchisees who are ambitious and driven. Dale has a lifetime of experience in the industry, he set up his own repair centre six years ago and has developed it to where it is today with state-of-the-art facilities, so I am sure they are going to be a fantastic addition to the network.”
